Bernard Hughes: A Ternary of Littles

£2.50

An arresting three-movement sequence for six-voice mixed choir or six solo voices

An arresting three-movement sequence for six-voice mixed choir or six solo voices (SMeATBarB). The music sets three anaphoras: an anonymous 17th century ‘trick poem’, a flirtatious kind of lovesong by Robert Herrick and a wonderful contemporary song of praise by the poet Michael Symmons Roberts. The music explores a range of vocal textures and colours in a bracing collection that can be performed together or as separate pieces.
